General Jack R. Brasher

General Brasher was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 28 June 1949 to 1 December 1950. He attended Officer Candidate School 2 December 1950 and was commissioned a second lieutenant on 22 June 1951. He completed pilot training, and was awarded the aeronautical rating of a pilot on 25 October 1952. He served on active duty with the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot from 26 October 1952 to 24 October 1955. He was released from active duty and was in the Air Force Reserve from 25 October 1955 to 14 August 1956. He was commissioned in the Arizona Air National Guard on 15 August 1956 and held duty assignments as Fighter Pilot, Assistant Flight Commander, Transport Pilot, Squadron Commander, Flying Safety Officer, Director of Operations, and Commander, Air National Guard, Arizona. He was the ANG Assistant to CINCSAC, Offutt AFB, Nebraska. General Brasher was a Command Pilot on flying status with over 23,000 flying hours in 41 different types of aircraft, both military and civilian.
